Open in June 2006, our boutique restaurant (46 seats), 2 blocks from the Potomac River made a big splash in the neighborhood of Old Town North.
Already the Washington Post headlined “THAILAND, ROYAL ST. SHINES WITH ATTENTION TO DETAILS” in Jan 08 and The Alexandria Gazette proclaimed “THAI CUISINE, FIT FOR ROYALS” in 2006.
We, the owners live in Old Town North and have been running Perks Coffee Shop, located on the other side of the block since 2000. Understanding and having known our customers for a long time is the key to Thailand, Royal St.’s success. We thrive from repeat customers who enjoy their authentic Thai food. They marvel in the well-balanced flavor, the feel of freshness and the beautiful presentation of their cuisine.
